This week, episode three of Student Nurses: Bedpans and Bandages will follow University of Salford student Alistair, one of the growing number of men taking on the challenge of becoming a nurse.
Student Nurses: Bedpans and Bandages was first broadcast on Friday 14 February at 8.00pm. It follows the diverse backgrounds and lives of students from the University of Salford and Birmingham City University; with all the pressures, emotions and challenges they face in training and on the wards.
Episode three revisits Alistair, who set foot on a ward at Royal Bolton Hospital for the very first time at the start of the series. He swapped a regular pay cheque as a carpet-fitter for a complete career change as a student nurse.
