Commissioning for Health and Social Care
The College of Health and Social Care has teamed up with London-based independent production company Vitality Media to produce a series of live events and webcasts for health and social care professionals.
4:30 – 6:00pm – Exhibition
6 – 7.00pm – Commissioning Master Class – Hosted by Professor and Dean of the College of Health & Social Care, Maggie Pearson
7 – 8 pm – Drinks reception
8 – 9 pm – Question Time – Chaired by Professor David Colin Thomé
Following the BBC 'Question Time' format, Professor David Colin-Thomé, formerly National Director of Primary Care at the Department of Health, will chair a panel of leading experts who will respond to audience questions on the topic.
We are planning one event per quarter, each with a particular theme. This first one will look at commissioning for long term conditions and will take place on 14th November 2013, World Diabetes Day.
Each show will be webcast live on the internet and made available for subsequent viewing on the “Question of Health” website.
Featured and promoted by the Health Service Journal.
An integrated part of each event will be the presentation of a series of short films which demonstrate innovation and best practice. Those selected as showcase examples will be screened throughout the main event, during networking breaks and as part of the live webcast.
The films will be edited into the recorded editions of the shows and represent an excellent opportunity to reach senior health and social care professionals from a broad range of organisations in health and social care including CCGs, Health and Wellbeing boards, BOARDS, NHS Trusts, local authorities and private sector providers
