Wildlife course shortlisted for award

Paul Tracey has been nominated in the Most Innovative Teacher of the Year category. For the last year he has taught the Construction Law and Dispute Resolution module and was awarded the Salford Students’ Union Best Teacher Award this May.
In the International collaboration of the year category, the University’s team led by Professor Mustafa Alshawi, has been nominated for the successful collaboration in Basra focusing on building relationships between academics, local authorities, the international oil and gas companies and their supply chain.
And the MA in Wildlife Documentary Production, taught jointly by the School of Environment & Life Sciences and the School of Media, Music & Performance, has been shortlisted in the Excellence and Innovation of the Arts category. The course is unique and caters for students from disciplines including media, science and journalism, and brings together biologists and film makers in a highly creative environment which lead to award making films such as Amber Eaves "Where the Wild Things Were".
The University put forward 11 submissions with three being shortlisted. The winners will be announced on 29 November. This is the second year in a row that the University has had three shortlisted nominations. For more information on those shortlised visit the Times Higher Education Awards website.
