Online law masterclass: Analysing extraterritorial obligations in economic, social and cultural rights

This online seminar considers the obligations of states for actions or omissions outside their territory that affect the enjoyment of economic, social and cultural (ESC) rights. It will focus on a number of case studies in the area of ESC rights to develop participants’ understanding of:

- the nature of extraterritorial obligations
- determining extraterritorial obligations
- the various means and mechanisms which can be used to enforce extraterritorial obligations.

The session will be held online via Collaborate and is based on the Methods and Application of Human Rights and Development module in Salford Law School’s fully-online LLM in International Social Justice.
