University of Salford invests in hi-tech image bank
The University of Salford has become one of the first higher education institutions in the UK to acquire an online Image Bank - capable of storing unlimited corporate images for staff and external contacts to access and download.
Provided by Bright Interactive, the £10,000 database enables users to quickly find the images they need by browsing categorised files or searching using keywords, viewing the images online and downloading in multiple formats.
Head of Marketing Mark Blackburn explained: "This new technology is ideal for clients such as journalists, partners or our own staff - anyone who uses our corporate imagery.
"It saves valuable time searching, reformatting and resizing hundreds of images - the system even monitors users and can set up permissions structures."
