Join us at our monthly Dementia Cafes

Wednesday 2 September 2015

The Institute of Dementia is running monthly cafes at the historical surroundings of the Old Fire Station building at the University of Salford.

The aim of the cafes is to provide a safe, comfortable environment for people with dementia and their carers to socialise and have access to information and peer-support.

The next Café will take place on Monday 7th September,  13:00 -15:00pm.

The café is lead by Institute staff and supported by our Associates and Volunteers.  We have had activities and talks by Salford Museum and Art gallery, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue and people living with dementia have spoken about groups and enterprises they run or are involved in.

We also offer a space to show-case peoples hobbies.  Research staff from the Institute have presented their work and this has led to interesting discussions. Any further information please contact c.l.marrett@salford.ac.uk or call the Institute on  0161 295 2363.
