Study zones

The libraries have three types of zoned areas. Please visit the zone which suits your needs and show respect to other library users.

We know that when students come to our libraries they to study in different ways. Some prefer collaboration and discussion, whilst others need absolute silence in order to be able to concentrate. To support this our libraries have zoned areas.

Please remember to adhere to these rules when moving through the library.

Silent study zone

• Individual study only
• Talking is not allowed
• Mobiles must be switched to silent
• Silent texting is allowed

Collaborative learning zone

• Talking and group discussion is allowed
• Mobiles must be switched to silent
• Silent texting is allowed

Mobile phone zone

• You can use your mobile phones here
