About the Store

The Library keeps approximately 35,000 items outside of the four library sites. By storing these lesser used items in this way, The Library is able to make better use of the space available in the libraries, providing more study spaces, for example, whilst still retaining access to a broad range of stock.

Items kept in store can be found on SOLAR, with a location of 'Store'. To request an item please complete an Intersite loan request and preface your shelf mark with the word STORE. We usually aim to retrieve items for you within 2-3 working days.
