Find books and more with Library Search

Library Search - the Library’s search and discovery system:

  • makes it easy to find the info you need
  • is mobile-friendly
  • and provides a quick and easy way to save and organise your records.

We've put together a series of short videos to help you make the most of Library Search.

Each book has a class number – a series of numbers and letters used to organise the library stock. When looking for books on the shelf, please make a note of the entire class number from Library Search, including any letters at the end of the number sequence. Look for the aisle with the corresponding number. For example, a book with the class number of 153.44ALT, will be in the aisle marked 150-155. The shelves begin at 000 and work their way up through the library floors.

Use the Locate button in Library Search to find out which floor and shelf the item is on.
