Access

From on campus, Google Scholar will automatically display Salford's Find It links.

From off campus, there are two other ways to get the Salford Find It button to your search results.

  • If you use Google Chrome, you can add them manually using the Google Chrome Scholar Button app
    • add the app
    • click on the app button in your Chrome toolbar
    • click on the settings button
    • on the left, choose Library Links
    • type salford in the search box
    • tick two options : Salford University -FindIt at Salford and University of Salford - ProQuest links
    • Save the settings and start searching

  • You can add them manually from the Google Scholar homepage
    • select Settings
    • on the left, choose Library Links
    • type salford in the search box
    • tick two options : Salford University -FindIt at Salford and University of Salford - ProQuest links
    • Save the settings and start searching

Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature, and allows you to link to full text articles available to you as Salford students and staff.
