Biography
After completing his Masters in 1989 at Leeds University, Simon moved to Newcastle University where he taught Evidence and Criminal Law for 14 years. He was also Associate Director of the International Office at Newcastle University with particular responsibility for South East Asia and the Indian sub-continent.
After a period of time working in practice with trading standards, Simon returned to the HE sector and joined Salford Law School in 2006 as one of the School’s original members of staff and its first Director of Admissions. Simon is one of the UK’s leading commentators on Road Traffic Law and produces the National Police Improvement Agency approved text on Road Policing. He is also co-author of the leading text “Elliott & Woods Cases and Materials on Criminal Law”.
