Law Futures event
Wednesday 5 December 2012
Salford Law School’s Law Futures event, organised in conjunction with the Student Life Directorate, took place on Wednesday 28 November.
Law Futures is a fair where students can discuss their future options with representatives from a number of the region’s post-qualifying trainers, and law firms such as Pannone and Kenworthy’s.
The event also included a range of special sessions to help students decide on the path they wanted their future career to take. Sessions included:
- A Law Employer panel, where students heard a group of career professionals talk about their career paths and offer tips and advice about working in the sector;
- A session on applying for the LPC and BPTC, where staff from Manchester Metropolitan University (BPTC) and BPP (LPC) talked through the application process for these courses;
- Which LPC?, where a number of LPC providers gave short presentations on their LPC courses and answered questions from students.
Feedback from both students and employers about the event was very positive.
