Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West gives Law School Annual Lecture
Nazir Afzal OBE, the Chief Crown Prosecutor for the North West Area, has delivered the Salford Law School Annual Lecture. The lecture covered his career path and the interesting, complex and sometimes controversial cases with which he has been involved.

Salford Law School’s Law Futures event, organised in conjunction with the Student Life Directorate, took place on Wednesday 28 November.
Visit to China
Dr Jingchen Zhao, Law School lecturer and Associate Head for Research, undertook a 5 day visit to Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Hong Kong in November.
Students interrogate Chief Constable at University question and answer session
The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police, Sir Peter Fahy was given a thorough grilling by University of Salford students today (21 November) as he answered a range of questions relating to budgets, the new commissioner role and graduate careers.
Law students through to second round of mooting competition

Graduation success
This Summer's graduation ceremony saw the second doctoral award for a Salford Law School candidate. In 2011, Dr Graeme Collinson received his PhD and Dr Rob Cooling followed in his footsteps in July 2012.
