Grant Rates
SMEs – First to 3rd project the Grant rate is now 67%. This applies to all new proposals submitted from 29th June 2012; any project that has not yet progressed beyond the EoI stage will also be eligible for these grant rates. Rates apply for 12 months up to June 2013, when they will be further reviewed

Associate salary contribution
Where the project clearly requires a PhD qualification and this is suitably justified in the proposal; there is a new maximum salary contribution of £35k per year.

Additional Allowances for Travel, Subsistence and Consumables for SMEs
The opportunity to apply for additional funds for Travel & Subsistence and Consumables for SMEs has been reinstated. A robust case for additional expenditure will need to be included in the proposal.
