Graduate Building Surveyor (Energy Efficiency) – Knowledge Exchange Affiliate
Based in Preston, Lancashire
Knowledge Exchange Affiliate with Electricity North West
In collaboration with Electricity North West, the University of Salford has secured funding for a Knowledge Exchange project. The project’s aim is to develop a series of tools and services for the delivery of energy efficiency to both operational assets, such as sub-stations, and non-operational assets, such as offices. The longer-term aim is for the applicant to develop a range of tools and techniques that can support energy efficiency for Distributed Network Operators (DNOs) nationally.
Based primarily at Electricity North West’s office in Preston (PR1) the successful applicant will manage the project supported by experienced staff from both Electricity North West and the University of Salford.
Electricity North West are a DNO, and own and operate the regional electricity distribution network in the North West of England, taking power from the National Grid, and distributing it at lower voltages to business and domestic customers. This project hopes to ultimately lead to company employees having the capability to understand the contribution of energy initiatives to the performance of the Company, as the demands of the energy market continue to change.
