Postgraduate opportunities

The Centre for Social Research (CSR.Salford) is affiliated to the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences.  As such, it has a thriving postgraduate community.  We are able to offer supervision to MPhil and PhD candidates from both the United Kingdom and overseas.

We are particularly interested in applications relating to our specialist areas of:

• Crime and criminal justice
• Communities, localities and social inclusion
• Popular culture
• Social interaction
• Media and technology
• Health and risk

Some funding opportunities are available, including Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) ‘CASE’ studentships.
