Crime and criminal justice

The Centre's research in Crime and Criminal Justice has focused on crime prevention, police-community relations, work with particular groups of offenders, and the criminal justice process.

Our work in this area includes the Salford University Centre for Prison Studies – the only Centre of its kind outside of London, with more than 150 members and policy partners.
