Salford Working Papers
The University of Salford Working Papers has been launched to promote research at the Centre for Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. The Working Papers are an open access, peer reviewed online journal hosting full articles in all areas of theoretical and applied linguistics, including syntax, semantics, pragmatics, phonology, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and language pedagogy (including TESOL).

Call for papers
Submissions are invited for the inaugural University of Salford Working Papers in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. All academic staff and current and recent postgraduate students of the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences are invited to submit papers.
The Working Papers are an open access, peer reviewed online journal hosting full articles in all areas of theoretical and applied linguistics. Papers dealing with all aspects of theoretical and applied linguistics, including syntax, semantics, pragmatics, phonology, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and language pedagogy (including TESOL) are invited for submission. Published papers will have met the standards of the editorial committee in being of interest to any linguist, whatever their specialization, and of sufficient theoretical importance. No particular theoretical position will be favoured. Prerequisites for publication are scientific rigour and academic quality.
The Working Papers will be accessible on the University of Salford Institutional Repository (USIR).
All submissions will be handled electronically. Please follow the instructions in the submission guidelines. Submissions which do not follow the guidelines will not be considered. Submissions must be in English. Non-native speakers of English should have their work proofread by a native speaker. Submissions are limited to 5,000 words.

Submit a paper
To submit a paper, attach two copies of your submission, formatted according to the guidelines, in *.rtf, *.doc or *.docx format in an email to the editor. Enter the information from the first page of your submission (see submissions template for details) into the email to the editor. Do not send your submission to the committee email address.
