Mental Health Awareness

This 1 day session raises line managers’ awareness of mental health and looks at a wide range of mental health conditions and what affects our mental health. 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience some kind of mental health issue at some point in their life and yet it is often something that many of us don’t know how to deal with when we encounter someone with such an issue.

This workshop helps you identify what we mean by mental health, the possible issues that you may encounter and skills and strategies for supporting colleagues who are presenting mental health issues. This session focuses on the meaning of mental health, signs, symptoms and behaviours associated with mental health (depression, eating disorders, anxiety, PTSD) as well as managing issues such as self-harm and suicidal thoughts.
