Salford New Blood - Sex, Shopping, Death

Manchester’s Triangle shopping centre is staging its biggest ever exhibition this week when a group of emerging artists from the University of Salford present their own take on fine art.

Salford New Blood brings together the work of 25 second year visual arts students with the aim of making contemporary art accessible to the public and showcasing some of the University’s best creative talent.

“We’ve gathered an exciting collection of paintings, photography, film, sculpture and installation art in a space at the Triangle which is perfect for our exhibition,” said Salford student and head curator Ian Rayer-Smith.

“I hope Salford New Blood will really engage visitors and inspire them with a wide range of different ideas and concepts under one roof.”

The exhibition runs at the lower level of the Triangle, Exchange Square, Manchester, until Wednesday 28 March. It is open Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 12 noon-4pm and the public preview is on Thursday 22 March from 6-9pm.
