Welcome to students starting in January
500 new students starting new courses in the New Year...
Coming from around the world to join a diverse range of courses, we look forward to helping them to settle into University life with a range of special events, trips and social get togethers.
Our special welcome programme runs from 25 – 29 January, including:
- Tours of the university
- Introductions to the University facilities e.g. library, the Students’ Union and Student Life
- A special free welcome supper
- Information on managing money and personal safety
- A chance to explore Manchester
- A trip to shop at Trafford Centre
- A day trip to Liverpool
- A chance to win an iPad
We provide free transport from Manchester Airport to the University for students flying in and a Welcome Information Point will be open in the foyer of University House from 9.30am – 5.00pm on Wednesday 25, Thursday 26, and Friday 27 January.
