Working within six monthly rotational disciplines, providing assessment and treatment of patients with responsibility for management of heavy caseload. Supervision and teaching of students, physiotherapy assistants and junior grades. Organisation and delivery of junior in-service training programmes. Key team member in delivery of combined physio/consultant delivered clinics.
Teaching
I am involved in the teaching and examining across the broad curriculum of the physiotherapy undergraduate degree, mainly in the topics of musculoskeletal and cardiovascular and respiratory conditions
Research Interests
My MSc dissertation was investigating the guidelines for hamstring stretches. I am currently involved and interested in research projects concerning the use of High-fidelity Patient Simulation in the undergraduate physiotherapy programme as preparation for graduate employment. I am also researching the evidence supporting the use of Power Breath and Respi vests in athletes.
