Biography

Jo Mellson qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1986 and has been a Senior Lecturer at the University of Salford, Manchester since 1996, gaining her MSc in Health Practice in 2002. Prior to moving into education, Jo has significant experience in physical disability with clinical specialisms in orthopaedics and rheumatology, splinting, continence, moving and handling and community rehabilitation; including assessment for return to work, workplace / ergonomic assessment and negotiation of staged return including provision of equipment and job analysis.
