Biography

Sarah qualified as a Physiotherapist from the University of Manchester in 1998 following which she worked clinically for 7 years within the Pennine Acute Hospital Trust ultimately specialising in Neurology. She started teaching at the University of Salford in October 2005.

Since 2005 she has focussed on developing her teaching practice and more recently embarked on a PhD investigating new systems to address foot-drop for individuals with upper motor neurone deficits. Her interests in employability, professionalism, mandatory training and reflective practice means she is externally involved in local and national initiatives. She publishes in the field of reflection and represents the School of Health Sciences at NHS North-West to discuss and develop graduate employability.

Research Interests

Sarah is part of the Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) and other Rehabilitation Technologies Research Programme.
