Biography

Viv began teaching after 21 years’ experience in physical rehabilitation, having specialised in hand injuries, burns, orthopaedics, wheelchair assessment and latterly, in palliative care. She has worked for the Ministry of Defence in a joint forces rehabilitation unit, the NHS and in charitable settings and held both clinical and managerial roles which included establishing new occupational therapy services.

Viv is currently responsible for placement education within the Directorate of Occupational Therapy, and is an external examiner to the BSc Hons Occupational Therapy programme at the University of Southampton.
