Biography
As an occupational therapist I am concerned with promoting health and wellbeing through engagement in meaningful occupations across the age span and the consideration of how to enable individuals experiencing problems in these areas due to illness, trauma, disability or environmental difficulties.
I have clinical (forensic mental health), managerial (adult and older person's mental health - in pt, day patient and community teams, child and family psychiatry, paediatrics and Art Therapy services) and educational experience (UG and PG and post registration CPD) within the field of occupational therapy, together with experience of innovative curriculum design and delivery specifically in the use of elearning and the online learning experience.
I have managed a number of successful projects both internal and external to the university, including:
- the development of a multi-professional practice placement educator training for the Greater Manchester West Consortium - later adopted by University of Salford,
