Biography
I qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1982. Currently working as an associate lecturer and module lead on postgraduate programmes in Trauma & Orthopaedics and Surgical Practice and as a consultant physiotherapist with a large independent sector provider of NHS services. I have worked extensively in both the NHS and private sector in both acute and primary care settings within the musculoskeletal field. Obtaining an MPhil whilst researching into back muscle strength testing and its role in back pain management then continued to work both in research and clinical environments in spinal assessment and management. I have presented at national and international conferences
Teaching
Module lead on the MSc in Trauma and Orthopaedics Spinal and Extending Proficiencies. Academic lead year 2 MSc in Surgical Practice
Fellow of HEA and completed PGCAP 2013.
Research Interests
Assessment and management of spinal disorders.
Assessment and accreditation of clinical competence of advanced musculoskeletal practitioners
