Research Interests

I conduct research applying health psychology theory to improving health by developing and evaluating behaviour change and psychological interventions to improve well-being and quality of life in those with chronic illness.  I am currently a co-investigator on a feasibility study to deliver a CBT stress management intervention for people affected by severe asthma, funded by Asthma UK Foundation (84K). I was the Principal Investigator on an NHS funded project (106K, 2008-2010) evaluating the impact of Keep Well using health psychology theory. I have held research grants (circa 900k) in NHS and university settings in the areas of health behaviour change and psychological interventions.
