Dr Allan Munro

Lecturer and Admissions Tutor in Sport Rehabilitation

Biography

I graduated from the Sport Rehabilitation programme at Salford in 2007 and went on to complete my PhD in 2013. During this time I have taught at the University of Salford, University of Derby and was part of the team that developed the Sport Rehabilitation degree at the University of Bradford.

In addition, I have been a member of the BASRaT Executive Committee since 2009 and now hold the position of Vice-Chair.

I have also worked in Rugby Union since 2008 and I have also worked with England Handball, GB U-20's Basketball as well as in Rugby League and a number of other athletes from various sports.

Therapy skills, Advanced Therapies and Exercise Rehabilitation.

Research Interests

Identification of factors for ACL and PFJ injury risk.

The demands of exercise rehabilitation.

PhD - 'The Use of Two-Dimensional Motion Analysis and Functional Performance Tests for Assessment of Knee Injury Risk Behaviours In Athletes'.
