The School of Health Sciences is a school with a global focus, attracting international students and collaborating with health and social care organisations across the world.

We are constantly looking to develop our relationships with colleagues and institutions globally and our reputation for credible and wide-ranging research is growing quickly with many staff now invited to present and publish internationally.

Our International Biomechanics Conference is highly acclaimed and attracts delegates and speakers from around the world.

“This is a highly multidisciplinary environment and we are able to bring together researchers and clinicians from very diverse backgrounds to help address real, tangible problems related to foot health. Drawing together podiatrists, physiotherapists and nurses, with engineers, computer scientists, sensor experts and commercial not-for-profit partners means we can create effective teams to work on important challenges related to foot health. Such diversity makes for a highly creative and innovative environment.”

Professor Chris Nester, Associate Head of Research, School of Health Sciences
