Studied Genetics and Microbiology as an undergraduate.

Undertook a post-grad Nursing Programme (RN Adult) at Sheffield School of Nursing.

Worked largely in the community setting.

Read for an MSC Practitioner Research at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Worked as a Lecturer/Practitioner at University of Salford.

Worked full time as a lecturer in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work since 2003.

I am a University Link Lecturer with community services in Oldham.


Currently work on pre-reg BSc Nursing and MA Nursing and I am the year lead for year 1 of the MA. I also work on Post-Qualified modules and on some Post-Graduate modules.

I generally teach public health and health related modules  and  also teach research and evidence-based practice.

I supervise students on all the above programmes and am a dissertation supervisor for the pre-registration BSc and MA programmes.
