Philosophy of Care

Children should only be admitted to hospital when the care they require cannot be delivered at home.

The Children's Home Care Service provides nursing care at home to reduce or prevent hospital stay in line with current government policy and the Care Closer to home agenda.

The service supports parents and carers of sick children and assists them to cope with illness or disability and promote recovery to usual health status.
