Additional Information

Welcome to Wentworth House!

Wentworth House is an all-female, 10 bed unit, based in Eccles, focussed on enhanced relational security.

Please contact the unit prior to commencement of placement, by either phone or email, to confirm that you will be in attendance when your placement period begins. Initial shift will usually be 09.00am - 17.00pm after which, shifts can be negotiated based on your mentors pattern.

Weekly pattern of two 8 hour shifts and two 12 hour shifts, with breaks, is expected (total of 37.5 hours), in line with Greater Manchester West Policy and University requirements.

Nursing uniform is not required. Dress code is smart-casual clothing, appropriate to the clinical area eg: no trainers, denim etc.

Initial meeting with mentor will be facilitated within the first few days of commencement where plans will be put in place to ensure students are able to meet their assessment criteria.

It is encouraged that students should endeavour to integrate themselves fully into all aspects of life in the unit in order to fully understand the client group and how enhanced relational security operates. You can get a lot out of a placement at Wentworth House providing you are willing to put the effort in.

We look forward to meeting you.
