Certificate
As important legal documents, certificates are held in the Student Information Directorate until collected or postage is arranged.
If you wish to collect your certificate from the Student Information Directorate
You can collect your award from the Student Information Directorate (see below for address and opening times). You must present a form of identification on collection, for example your student ID card. Please note: you will not be able to collect your certificates and transcripts between Monday 1 and Wednesday 24 July 2013, but they will be available at your Graduation Ceremony, please see below for more information.
If you wish to have your certificate collected by someone else from the Student Information Directorate
You must give the nominated person a letter of authority stating your name, your qualification and the name of the person collecting your award. That person must present your letter of authority and a form of identification for themselves, to the Student Administration Office Reception (see below for address and opening times).
If you wish to collect your certificate from your Graduation Ceremony
You will be able to collect your certificate and transcript in person on the day of your Graduation Ceremony at the event at Lowry. You will be required to present photographic ID on collection, this can be in the form of your student ID card, driving license or passport.
If you wish to have your certificate sent to you by post or to order online
You will need to fill in an online request form. Royal Mail 1st class to a UK address is free of charge, UK recorded delivery is £5 and recorded delivery to an overseas address is £10.
Names on Certificates
It is the responsibility of all prospective and registered students to make sure that all personal details held by the University of Salford are accurate and up-to-date. Once your certificate has been printed, name changes cannot be made and thus we kindly advise you to check how your name is recorded on the Student Information System – this can be viewed through Blackboard. If there are any discrepancies, you need to come to the Ground Floor Service Desk located in Humphrey Booth House between 09:30am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, and submit evidence (such as passport or driving licence) for name changes to be made ahead of the certificate production.
