Professor Hans Suschitzky Memorial Public Lecture
'Everything about me'

‘Everything about me’ will showcase the science of the human body by highlighting through a series of spectacular chemistry demonstrations the biological and chemical importance of the elements constituting the human body.
Dr Rossington is a lecturer in biochemistry and chemistry at the University of Salford. He has previously worked at Manchester and Liverpool Universities and demonstrates to over 50 schools per year.
Professor Hans Suschitzky was a major force in heterocyclic chemistry from the 1960s until his death at the age of 96 in March 2012. He worked mainly on nitrogen and sulphur heterocycles. He held a personal chair at the University of Salford from 1967 until 1972 when he became the head of organic chemistry, until his retirement in 1981. He then was appointed as an Emeritus Professor, a post he held until his death.
All members of the public are invited to the presentation which is suitable for anyone of any age, with or without any scientific knowledge.
