Support for North West SMEs

The University has secured in excess of £1.5m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to support Northwest based SMEs in the development of new products and services to improve energy efficiency of existing properties.   

Green Infrastructures is a project supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), to provide dedicated business support to the region's SMEs within the low carbon economic goods and services supply chain, specifically targeting those regional SMEs looking to develop, deploy and install the latest retrofit technologies.

The project allows regional SMEs to access a range of services which includes:

  • New product development
  • Testing of new and existing products
  • Product and materials analyses
  • Product visualisation
  • Access to the North West Sustainable Retrofit Network.
