Remote access portal (working from anywhere)

This service is available to University students, staff and Associates.

The Remote Access Portal is a browser-based facility, giving University members access to various personal and shared IT resources when off-campus.

Students can access their personal file storage (F: drive). Note, if you are a student, your email and Office365 applications cannot be accessed through the Remote Access Portal; instead, go to https://login.microsoftonline.com/

Staff and Associates can access email, personal file storage (F: drive), shared file storage (usually V: or S: drive) and various corporate systems through the Remote Access Portal.

How to access Remote Access Portal

Go to https://portal.salford.ac.uk

You will then be required to login using your University username (e.g., ABC123) and password.
