The Audio Visual service supports many University activities, including conferences and events. With its wealth of experience, the Audio-Visual Team will guide you through your event and advise on the best possible technology or solution.
If you are organising an event such as a conference or a high-profile meeting, for which you need the support of a dedicated Technician to advise you, please use the Audio-Visual Booking Form—tick the box labelled: ‘Please provide a technical call back for a conference or event I’m planning’, and under the ‘Further comments or request additional service or support’ section, describe your event requirements. A member of the technical support team will then contact you.

Installed equipment within conference spaces comes free to use with the room hire; however, should you require additional equipment, the following charges will apply together with any setup fees (See Charges For Technician Support).

The Newton building's new flexible Learning Lab provides state of the art, flexible teaching space right in the heart of campus. Equipped with multi function Audio Visual hotstations, signage and collaboration spaces.
A series of new simulation suite have been developed to replicate a real hospital environments. In addition, the observation analysis gallery allows two way Audio Visual integration with audio and multi point camera recording devices. This allows synchronised playback for debriefing and streaming their scenarios to enable peer observation, learning and feedback.
Audio visual in our Megalabs spaces allows four leading laboratories to interconnect and overcome geographic boundaries. These laboratories can be used in any combination with the AV teach presentation replicated into any room along with voice, source audio and a camera relay. A complex solution within an innovative space.
A selection of some of the largest teaching spaces and lecture theatres on campus. As part of the recent major renovation, all the audio visual faculties were upgraded to include HD dual projection support along with 7.1 audio support.
During 2011, Salford University expanded its campus into the newly developed Media City UK site at Salford Quays. This purpose-built teaching venue includes an abundance of lecturing spaces, a conference facility, studio performance spaces, TV studios and Digital signage throughout.

Our campus solution for digital signage has been chosen by users for its versatility and ease of use. For any project, ITS will identify the most suitable screen from its standardised range; however, screen content is created and controlled locally by the relevant school or department. Training for content creators is self-led by way of online tutorials.
