This course can be studied as a single module for continuing professional development or as part of the BSc (Hons) Enhancing Professional Health Care Practice.
This module aims to help you explore evidence-based practice through a work-based project.
This module explores:
- Module orientation: introduction to work-based learning, action learning sets, available resources and managing a project. Self development: motivation, structured reflection, interpersonal skills, managing self and change.
- Strategies for development: self-assessment, peer observation, individual personal review, personal development goal and action planning, action learning sets, personal development review; tutor/clinical facilitator/action learning set feedback, evaluation tools.
- Local health issues: current local and national policy initiatives.
- Wider health care setting: implications of policy, EU directives, professional agenda, and evidence-based practice.
