This module will explore:

  • Advanced assessment and differential diagnosis of complex upper limb disorders
  • Pathology of complex upper limb problems in relation to patient management
  • Principles of conservative and surgical treatment of patients with upper limb dysfunction
  • Preoperative, intra-operative and post-operative management of the upper limb surgery
  • Diagnostic investigations of the upper limb disorders including X-rays and MRI/bone scan, arthrography/arthroscopy and musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • Sports injury management applied to the upper limb
  • Conservative and operative management of muscle and tendon injuries
  • Rehabilitation strategies of the upper limb
  • Upper limb work-related hand disorders
  • Holistic assessment and management of patients with upper limb disorders
