UCAS tariff points 280-320 points
GCE A level 280-320 points, At least grade B in the language to be studied post A-Level. A suitable combination of A2 and AS levels is also accepted. Normally one language from French, German, Spanish and Arabic and Chinese are only available for beginners. EFL only for non-native speakers of English. General Studies not accepted.

Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)

Students with non-traditional and international qualifications, or with advanced language competence gained in other ways than through formal study, are very welcome to apply. We will also consider applicants who gained their A level qualifications a number of years ago and have accrued relevant work and/or life experience. English Language Requirements

Non-native speakers of English should hold IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

Applicant profile

We are looking for linguists interested in developing high level communication and mediation skills in modern foreign languages, who plan to work with languages in their future career and who enjoy travel and learning about and experiencing different cultures.

Your qualifications should include at least one relevant language to be studied at post A-level (or equivalent) with minimum grade B.

If you are a well qualified non-native speaker of English, you can study EFL alongside one other language.
