MSc Surgical Practice is the only taught course in the North West specifically for surgical practice.
Each taught module will have a practical workshop which will allow you to engage in patient case simulation, with access to state-of-the-art simulators. There are also practical dissection workshops and surgical skills workshops in each academic year.
It has been developed in-line with health care developments and is open to GPs and non-medical professionals who are increasingly developing surgical roles in primary care.

Developed in association with nationally recognised surgeons, you will learn from experts in the field and be at the forefront of surgical practice. Throughout this course you will have access to specialist simulation laboratories and anatomy dissection workshops to develop your clinical skills.

The full course runs part-time over three years giving you the chance to exit with the following awards:
- Postgraduate Certificate: two modules over nine months
- Postgraduate Diploma: four modules over two years
- Masters: four modules plus a dissertation over three years

This module will allow you to utilise a systematic process of inquiry and apply critical thinking and problem solving, in order to investigate an aspect of professional, clinical, or organisational practice.
