Our brand new £21 million new building contains some of the best teaching facilities including state-of-the-art lecture rooms, practical (plinth) rooms, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning rooms.
Human performance laboratory
Our world-class human performance laboratory is one of the best equipped in the country and contains almost every type of physiological and biomechanical testing equipment, including a 30-metre sprint track with in-built force platforms, motion cameras, blood and gas analysis equipment and speed guns. The College is also home to three gait labs, which, together with the human performance lab, are used to conduct groundbreaking research by the Centre for Health, Sport and Rehabilitation Sciences Research that underpins your learning.
Sports injury clinic
Our Sports injury clinic provides valuable practical experience for you to practice your skills under the direct supervision of qualified staff. The clinic is open to staff, students and the general public and offers a full range of rehabilitation services including:
- Injury assessment and rehabilitation
- Musculoskeletal screening
- Injury prevention courses
- Exercise and sport-specific courses
- Postural assessment
