This course has an integrated approach to teaching and learning, focusing on lectures, seminars and tutorials as well as independent learning methods.
You will undertake practice placements, which are organised by the University. These will allow you to gain practical experience of the social work role in working with service users and carers. They will also provide you with the opportunity to explore and relate theory to a practice setting.
To study on the part-time route you must already be employed in a social care setting and have the support of your employer
Assessment
- Written assignments (80%)
- Poster (5%)
- One ‘open book’ exam (15%)
