A minimum of a 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in a numerate subject such as Engineering, Science, Mathematics or Computer Science. You should be able to demonstrate the use of structured programming language such as C
Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)
Consideration will also be given to candidates who do not possess the above but have the equivalent in relevant industrial and/or professional experience. Such candidates will be considered using the University’s APL and APEL procedures.
English Language Requirements
International students will require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent English Language Qualification.
Suitable For
Suitable for students who already have a strong engineering background and wish to specialise in Robotics and/or Embedded Systems. This course is targeted specifically at students living in India, and makes use of the Embedded Systems expertise at ThinkLABS in Mumbai and the Robotics expertise at Salford. If you are not based in India, but are prepared to spend the first semester in Mumbai, then you can apply for this course.
Applicant profile
You should have a strong engineering background and wish to specialise in Robotics and/or Embedded Systems, but develop skills in software development for real-time systems, and an understanding of AI techniques for control-related applications. Experience of basic C and Matlab programming would be beneficial. A good level of English Language is required, to be demonstrated by an IELTS test or similar.
