This course enables qualified social workers to develop the in-depth knowledge and skills associated with competence in the area of child care.
Our aim is to develop well-rounded practitioners who are confident working in inter-professional and inter-agency contexts. You will be able to demonstrate competence in a range of key areas including; direct work with service users, assessment and intervention, self-management, supervision and mentoring, and practice education.
Course details
This course comprises of six Level 3, 20 credit modules, of which ‘Professional Practice Consolidation’ must be completed first (you are exempt from this if you have a PQ1 Certificate which can be used for APL).
Once the consolidation module is completed you may take the remaining modules in any order. This could mean taking one module per semester however if the desire is to complete the award in two years you will need to take two modules in one of the semesters each year.
