This course provides a thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement and e-procurement, warehousing and stores management, transportation and shipping, inventory planning and contract management within an overall supply chain context.

This course is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) and full membership is available to graduates of this course.

Course details

The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive and systematic understanding of the current knowledge of procurement, logistics and supply chain management. You'll gain a critical awareness of problems and new insights, informed by the most up to date academic research and case studies.

You will be encouraged to be original in the evolution of alternative solutions and concepts which can be integrated with professional/vocational practice. You'll gain a practical understanding of how established research techniques are used to create and interpret purchasing and logistics knowledge and a conceptual understanding in order that you can critically evaluate current research and methodologies, develop critiques and sometimes propose new alternative hypotheses and best practice applications.
