This course aims to foster the advancement and originality of professional post production practices through the integration of highly developed specialist skills and detailed knowledge of current and post production.

Working with industry partner the School of Sound Recording, the course will offer a range of self-directed and team-orientated industry briefs which will ensure you gain an advanced and detailed understanding of creative processes, production workflow, and the associated technical complexities required to achieve professional quality output

Course details

With the continued development of ever- more complex digital media, there is a requirement for graduates with the skills needed to deliver the next generation of digital content. The anticipated growth in media- related industry within the north west, with particular reference to MediaCityUK, defines the rationale for this course; employer engagement, industry partnerships and enhanced employment opportunities are features which set this course at the forefront of contemporary media development.

The course is run in partnership with the School of Sound Recording (SSR), a Manchester based, private education provider, which offers the opportunity to collaborate with an establishment rooted in the tradition of the Manchester music and audio industry. SSR also provides industry engagement, quality teaching and industry standard facilities. This course will provide students with the potential to engage with industry partners at a time when the role of post production professional is being redefined. Guest lectures, live industry briefs and the potential for industry placements also increase employment opportunities.
