English Language Requirements

IELTS:      6.0 with no less than 5.0 in any one component

TOEFL:     Paper based – 560

                 Computer based – 220

                 Internet based – 83

ESOL:        Skills for Life Level 2/Certificate in Advanced English/Certificate of Proficiency in English

Other:       University of Salford English Language Test with an overall score equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (70 – 79)

Applicant profile

Students can join the programme from the variety of disciplines and A Level skills in Mathematics, physics, chemistry or BTEC in Engineering.

We positively welcome applications from students who may not meet the stated entry criteria but who can demonstrate their ability to successfully pursue a programme of study in higher education. Students who do not have formal entry qualifications are required to sit a written assessment which is designed for this purpose.
