On completion you may go on to perform, direct, write, research, or produce. You may also go on to be a teacher or workshop leader, or go on to postgraduate education.

Throughout your time at University you will be offered a wide variety of extracurricular activity to enhance your employability. We believe that your professional career begins in year 1 of our programme and you are supported and facilitated in developing your work experience.
There are work placement opportunities in professional projects working as associate choreographers and workshop leaders for all client groups.
There are placement opportunities working as a teaching assistant in all client groups.

Alumni Profile
Rebekka Platt is freelance dance artist (dancer, performer and choreographer) based in Manchester, she graduated in 2010.
Her achievements:
A commission and national tour of a visual and sonic collaboration
A Research & Development project for Saju Hari’s Place Prize commission, London
A performer for Goran Vejevoda’s improvisational Sayat Nova Revisited at The Bluecoat
A performer in ‘costume installations’ for Edwina Ashton and the Volkov Commanders
In 2011 Rebekka was short listed for the Turn Dance Prize, Manchester (a Dance Initiative Greater Manchester (DiGM), hÅb, Live at Lica & Contact commission).
Martina Coggins - Graduated in 2006
Martina worked as a dance development officer in Salford working in the community for 5 years. During this time she also took part in a community exchange and worked in Pakistan for 4 weeks in April 2009, teaching disability dance. In 2010 Martina started her own business ‘Tracing Steps Theatre and Dance Company’. The company specialises in working with people with disabilities and older people. In 2010 the company won Rochdale best new start up business of the year.
